Casablanca Valley and Valparaíso wine tours from Santiago
Twenty tours, 55 to 350 EUR. Thirteen are Valparaíso city days with one winery stop; seven put the Casablanca cellars first.
Thirteen of the 20 tours on this page carry Valparaíso or Viña del Mar in their titles, and they hold 12,961 of the 14,013 reviews, 92%. Only seven are built around the Casablanca wineries, and all seven together have 1,052 reviews. That split is the whole story of Casablanca Valley and Valparaíso wine tours: most people book a city day with a tasting, and a small minority books a wine day. The two cost different amounts and leave you with different days. Below you will find how to tell them apart from the listing, what the wine-first ones include, what cruise passengers can book, and which operators sell both.
Our sorting is by title and itinerary, so it is a judgement, not a fact the provider states. The listing that starts in Casablanca and then tours Valparaíso counts as a city day here because it is named after the city. The wider valley context is on the Maipo & Casablanca Valleys page. Prices are per person as listed, read on 30 September 2026.

Thirteen city days, seven wine days
The price is not the first clue. The first clue is the order of the two place names. "Valparaíso, Viña del Mar & Casablanca Wine Tour" is a city day, and in the most popular case the itinerary lists 26 stops of which one is a winery. "Casablanca world class wines, 4 vineyards" is a wine day. The table below shows what that means in money. Shared city days cost a median of 90 EUR, the three shared wine days 134 EUR, about 49% more for a day of similar length.
| Leads with | Listings | Reviews | Shared tours (EUR) | Private tours (EUR) | Lunch included |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Valparaíso or Viña del Mar | 13 | 12,961 | 55 to 179 (9 tours, median 90) | 153 to 350 (4 tours) | 0 |
| Casablanca wineries | 7 | 1,052 | 125 to 143 (3 tours, median 134) | 80 to 215 (4 tours) | 2 |
Look at the right-hand edge of the chart. At ten hours there is a stack of dots between 55 and 67 EUR: three shared days at 55, 62 and 67 EUR, the cheapest on this page and the lightest on wine. Above them are the 100 to 179 EUR days, and the private diamonds scatter above and to the left, including a 4-hour sparkling-wine listing at 188 EUR. Length does not explain price here. What explains it is whether the day is shared, and what the day is for.
What ten hours of Valparaíso contains
The city lights on this hillside are what the big listing sells. Its itinerary runs from a Moai at the Fonck museum in Viña del Mar to the Wulff Castle and the casino, then down to the port for Plaza Sotomayor, the El Peral lift and the painted stairways of Cerro Concepción and Cerro Alegre, where UNESCO listed the historic quarter in 2003. Pick-up is around 7:30 am and drop-off between 6 and 7 pm.
A single Casablanca winery is wedged into that day, on the way back. The operator warns that if you ask to be dropped at the cruise port, you miss the winery, because the tasting stop is on the return leg.
What one winery looks like
Two listings show the extremes. At 80 EUR, "More wine in Valle Casablanca" is a ten-hour private transport day. Its stops are the Viña del Mar flower clock and waterfront, a Moai photo stop, the sea-lion cove at Caleta Portales, two heritage hills, a funicular, Plaza Sotomayor and, at the end, a stop to taste two wines in Casablanca. Lunch is not included. At 350 EUR, "Valparaíso & Casablanca: Wine, Heritage and local culture" reverses the order: it starts with a tasting at one Casablanca vineyard, then does the city, with a museum ticket to Neruda's La Sebastiana house extra.
One price buys the cellar first, the other buys it last. Neither is a day of wine.
The seven tours where the wine leads
| Listing | Price | Length | Private | Reviews | Operator |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| More wine in Valle Casablanca from Santiago | 80 EUR | 10 h | Yes | 51 | Getawaychile |
| 4 exclusive and boutique wineries, Tanino restaurant | 125 EUR | 10 h | No | 647 | Go2Chile Travel |
| Casablanca world class wines, 4 vineyards and Tanino lunch stop | 134 EUR | 9 h | No | 144 | Best Trip Chile |
| Casablanca Valley and Casa del Bosque, 3 vineyards | 135 EUR | 8 h | Yes | 116 | The Empire Vasque Tour |
| Casablanca organic wine tour | 143 EUR | 9 h | No | 31 | Santiago Experiences |
| Sparkling wine tour and premium tasting with private transport | 188 EUR | 4 h | Yes | 21 | Gems of Chile |
| Casas del Bosque winery and RE wineries, exclusive tour and transfer | 215 EUR | 5 h | Yes | 42 | Chile Experience |
Only two of these name a lunch stop, a restaurant called Tanino, and both are shared 9 to 10 hour days with four wineries. The others are privately driven and shorter. Two spell the name of the same estate differently, Casa del Bosque and Casas del Bosque, which is worth knowing when you search. The pattern is simple: if you want several cellars and a proper lunch, these two are the place to start; if you want a bespoke morning for two, the private ones deliver it at a price that may well be per car.
Same operator, two days, two prices
Two operators sell both a city day and a wine day on this page, and the gap between them is a fair measure of what the wine costs. Best Trip Chile charges 55 EUR for its Valparaíso, Viña del Mar and Casablanca day and 134 EUR for the four-vineyard day with lunch, a difference of 79 EUR. Go2Chile sells a 62 EUR city day with a boutique winery tasting and a 125 EUR day with four wineries and a restaurant lunch, a difference of 63. None of this is proof of quality. It is a rare case where the same company has priced its own choices.
Stamp's Tour holds 60% of the page's reviews through a single ten-hour listing with 8,342 of them and a small transfer listing. Turistik, with 2,566 reviews for a day that adds the Pablo Neruda museum, and Best Trip Chile, with 1,228 for its 55 EUR day, take most of the rest. The other smaller operators have between 16 and 219 reviews each, too few to rank them against one another.
If you are off a cruise ship
Three listings are built for cruise passengers, and they are the ones to read before you buy a generic city day. A 7-hour small-group pre- or post-cruise tour of Viña del Mar, Valparaíso and a Casablanca winery costs 90 EUR. A 5-hour transfer from Santiago to the Valparaíso cruise port with a tour and a winery costs 80 EUR. The biggest city day can drop you at the cruise terminal in San Antonio, with one large and one small bag allowed.
The constraint is always the same: the ship sails without you. Ask the operator what time they leave the winery and what the fallback is for delays on Route 68.
How to choose in thirty seconds
If the itinerary lists more than ten stops, it is a city tour. If the tasting is the first stop, the wine comes first. If lunch is included, there is a restaurant booked; if it is "at your own expense", you will be choosing one on the day, and it may not be at a vineyard. If it is private, ask whether the price is per person or per vehicle, because on this page eight of the 20 listings are private and the provider does not always say. Group size is the other thing worth checking. Most of these listings allow up to 15 travellers per booking, and only three titles promise less: "Max 7" at 126 EUR with 195 reviews, and two that say "small group" at 90 and 179 EUR. For the gentler alternative, the Maipo Valley Wine Tours page has shorter days with the same country's red wines.
Questions about Casablanca and Valparaíso tours
Is the Casablanca tasting included in the price?
On the biggest listing, yes: wine tasting is included and lunch is not. On most of the others a tasting is part of the price too, but the number of wines is rarely stated; the cheaper listing we read names two. Read the "what's included" list, because the headline does not say.
How far is Casablanca from Santiago and from Valparaíso?
Casablanca is about 75 km from Santiago and roughly 30 minutes from Valparaíso. A Casablanca stop therefore sits between the two, which is why it can be fitted into a Valparaíso day on the way back.
Are these tours suitable for someone who does not drink?
The city days are, because the wine is one stop and the rest is walking, lifts and views. The wine-first days are less so. Hotel pick-up is included on 19 of the 20 listings, and the Valparaíso hills involve steps, although the operators describe the tours as suitable for all fitness levels.
Do I need to book a group tour far ahead?
The two best-reviewed group days have a minimum number of travellers, two for the biggest one, and can be cancelled after you book if too few join, in which case you are offered an alternative or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before is common.
Is there a tour that stays on the coast and skips the wine?
Not on this page; every listing includes a winery. The biggest ones include only a single tasting, so you pay for a tasting you cannot decline.
Prefer the cellar to the coast?
Maipo is closer, cheaper at a median of 87 EUR, and the days are shorter.
