This full-day trip to Chile's Pacific coast is limited to 7 travelers and includes hotel pickup and drop-off from Santiago in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle. In Valparaíso, a UNESCO site, a guided walk covers Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepción: murals, hidden alleys, ocean views and a ride on a historic funicular. Muelle Prat shows the city's maritime side. In Viña del Mar the route follows Avenida Perú and stops at the Fonck Museum for the Rapa Nui moai, with gardens and coastal views along the way. The day ends at a boutique vineyard in the Casablanca Valley, where the winery's guide leads a 2-glass tasting.

  2. Corporacion Museo de Arqueologia e Historia Francisco Fonck

A stop outside the Fonck Museum in Viña del Mar to see one of the few moai outside Easter Island. This one has been confirmed to return to Rapa Nui soon.

A photo stop at the city's symbol, a garden clock at the foot of Castillo hill, opposite the Caleta Abarca beach.

  4. Avenida Peru

A brief stop on the waterfront avenue, with the Pacific, the Presidential Summer Palace and Wulff Castle in view.

  5. Plaza Sotomayor

A protected typical zone of the country, with the Armada de Chile building (a historical monument) and a statue of naval hero Arturo Prat.

  6. Muelle Prat

Valparaíso's historic waterfront, with local boats, harbor views and port activity.

  7. Ascensor Reina Victoria

Built in 1902 on Cerro Concepción, part of the UNESCO-listed old town and still in operation. Riders can take it down toward the city.

  8. Cerro Alegre

A heritage neighborhood with architecture from the German and English settlers who lived here from the early 19th century. The guide leads a walk of about 1 hour past murals, curiosities and Pacific viewpoints.

  9. Cerro Concepcion

One of the most visited hills in Valparaíso, once called Cerro de Nuestra Señora de la Concepción. Its viewpoints over the bay include the Pierre Loti, Atkinson and Gervasoni promenades.
