Okanagan wine tours from Kelowna: 20 compared
20 tours from 93 to 247 EUR, median 121, rated 4.90. Five cost exactly 101 EUR, and 19 say the tasting fees are already paid.
Five of the 20 Okanagan wine tours cost exactly 101.00 EUR. They are one format, a four-hour van tour of three or four wineries, moved from town to town by two operators: Osoyoos, Lake Country, East Kelowna and West Kelowna. The valley is over 250 km long on Wines of BC's reckoning, yet 18 of the 20 tours work the Kelowna end, so the real choice for Okanagan wine tours is between formats, not places. This page maps the valley from the tours' side: where to base yourself, what each format costs, what is already paid for, and which four listings you cannot cancel.
The most reviewed tour here, 307 reviews at 5.0, is self-guided. You ride an e-bike with a phone app between two wineries and a mead producer with a farm lunch, for 109 EUR. The same operator's guided version costs 153 EUR. The Okanagan has no sub-pages, so all 20 tours sit below, and the choice between this valley and Ontario's is made on the Canada page or by looking at the 24 tours around Niagara-on-the-Lake. Everything you need to decide between the Okanagan's own formats is on this one page, from the map to the refund terms.

Okanagan wine tours: where the wine is and where the tours leave from
The map marks the two towns tours depart from, Kelowna and Penticton, as squares, and the wine villages they reach as dots. The distances come from the coordinates in the listings and are straight-line: the West Kelowna slopes where Mission Hill sits are about 9 km from downtown Kelowna, Lake Country about 19, Naramata about 33 and the Oliver wineries about 87 km south. From Lake Country to the Oliver wineries the tours cover roughly 105 km of a valley that Wines of BC puts at over 250.
West Kelowna: the slopes most tours climb
Seven listings name West Kelowna in the title and nine visit its wineries, more than any other area. The slopes of Mount Boucherie, which one operator describes as an extinct volcano, carry a run of tasting rooms that stay close together: Mission Hill, Quails' Gate, Mt. Boucherie Estate, Volcanic Hills, Frind on the lakeshore. West Kelowna Wine Trail has over 15 wineries, according to one listing, which is why the tours can promise four or five in an afternoon.
The 152 EUR full day is the one that guarantees seated tastings at Mission Hill and Quails' Gate over seven hours and four wineries, with a lunch stop at your own expense.
What the price buys
Length barely moves the price. The 13 four-hour tours run from 93 to 145 EUR. The two six-hour ones cost 120 and 126, and the extra two hours are a lunch reservation you pay for yourself. Above the cluster stand the 5-hour tours at 153 to 247 EUR, the 7-hour Mission Hill day at 152 and the 9-hour Kettle Valley bike day at 184. Seven of the 20 marks sit at four hours and 101 to 107 EUR.

| Lake Country | 2 | 101 and 120 EUR | Half day collects in Lake Country, Vernon, Coldstream; the 6-hour tour meets in Kelowna; Gray Monk, Arrowleaf, Peak Cellars |

Lake Country and the east shore: orchards first
North and east of Kelowna, the vines share the slopes with orchards. The two Lake Country tours cost 101 and 120 EUR. The half day collects in Lake Country, Vernon and Coldstream, not from a Kelowna hotel, while the 6-hour tour meets in Kelowna. The half day visits four tasting rooms with up to 20 wines to sample; the 6-hour tour adds a lunch reservation and calls Riesling and Pinot Noir the local stars.
East Kelowna's two tours, 93 and 101 EUR, cover an older set of vineyards in a four-hour afternoon. The 101 EUR one visits Sperling, which its listing dates to 1925.
Five tours, one price
Sip Happens Wine Tours and Vivid Tours together sell six tours and 333 reviews, a quarter of the valley's total. Five of the six cost 101.00 EUR. The Sip Happens format includes the tasting fees, bottled water and a 15% gratuity for the guide in the price, and adds only GST, which the Osoyoos listing puts at $8.25. Vivid's half day includes tasting fees and pickup and leaves the gratuity to you; its Sunset Sip adds a dinner reservation that you pay for.
At 101 EUR the valley's commonest tour covers the tastings, the pickup and, from one operator, the tip. The price you see is nearly the price you pay.
The weak point of a template is rating volume. Each of the six has between 36 and 73 reviews, from 4.6 to 4.9, and the lowest, the 4.6, is the Sunset Sip.
E-bikes, guides and the self-guided question
The 109 EUR e-bike ride from Lakeside Eco-Sports has 307 reviews at 5.0 and is the most reviewed tour in the valley. It is also not a tour in the usual sense: there is no guide and no driver, only a bike, a helmet, a lock, a phone mount and a route to Hidden Vines, SpearHead and Meadow Vista Honey Wines, where a farm lunch is included. The 153 EUR version adds a guide who leads the ride and visits three venues. Read the listing before you book, because the data marks the cheaper ride as private, which reflects that you ride with your own group.
The Myra Canyon day is a different thing again: 184 EUR, nine hours, a guided ride on the old Kettle Valley Railway, then wineries, with a minimum group of four and no refund.

Small print worth reading
Four of the 20 tours are non-refundable: both Vines and Views tours, the Myra Canyon ride and Carpe Diem's half day. The other 16 offer free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead. Six carry a likely to sell out badge. Two listings tell you not to drink between stops: one forbids extra alcohol between scheduled tastings and another any drinking inside the vehicle. The minimum age is 19, and pickup zones can be narrow, so the Kelowna afternoon tour from Red Dog does not collect from Lake Country, Peachland or north of the airport. Wines of BC lists around 196 wineries and 80 grape varieties in the valley, so no tour shows more than a slice.
Questions about Okanagan wine tours
Which part of the Okanagan is best for a wine tour?
West Kelowna has the most tours, nine of the 20, and the densest cluster of tasting rooms. East Kelowna and Lake Country suit a quieter afternoon. The south, Naramata and Osoyoos, has one tour each and needs a base there or an extra transport fee. For a first visit, start in West Kelowna.
Should I stay in Kelowna or Penticton?
Kelowna, unless you specifically want the Naramata Bench or the south. Eighteen of the 20 tours collect there or nearby. The Naramata day collects in Penticton and Summerland and charges from $49 per group to collect in Kelowna, and the Osoyoos tour collects only in Osoyoos and Oliver.
Do the tours include tasting fees?
Nineteen of the 20 say so. The exception is the Lake Country full-day tour at 120 EUR, which does not mention them either way. Some go further: three tours include the guide's 15% gratuity. GST and wine purchases are usually extra, so check the Not included list.
Can I visit the south Okanagan from Kelowna?
Only with a transport fee or a private tour. The Osoyoos half day collects in Osoyoos and Oliver, about 87 km from Kelowna in a straight line, and the Naramata day collects in Penticton and Summerland. Staying one night in the south is simpler than commuting.
Is the e-bike tour guided?
Only one of the two is. The 109 EUR ride from Lakeside Eco-Sports is self-guided with a phone app and GPS route, with lunch included. The 153 EUR version from the same operator has a guide. Both visit three venues, with lunch at the last.
Can I cancel an Okanagan tour?
Sixteen of the 20 can be cancelled free up to 24 hours before departure. Four cannot: the two Vines and Views tours, the Myra Canyon ride and Carpe Diem's half day, all marked as final sales. Check the cancellation line in the listing before you pay.
