Luján de Cuyo and Maipú Wine Tours: Seven Tickets, Thirteen Days

Twenty listings from 20 to 377 EUR, median 202. Seven cost 78 EUR or less, the next costs 175 EUR, and nothing sits in between.

Seven of the 20 Luján de Cuyo and Maipú wine tours cost 78 EUR or less, and the eighth costs 175 EUR. Nothing sits in between, which is why the median of 202 EUR describes almost no listing here. The cheap seven are group tastings, a hop-on wine bus and single-bodega visits, and together they hold 1,197 of the 2,253 reviews on the page. The other thirteen are days of six to eight hours with lunch, twelve of them private. This page sorts the two markets, says what each one includes, and flags two traps: prices per booking and a length field that says 48 hours. For the zone as a whole, with distances and the harvest calendar, see the Mendoza page.

Most of the reading on this page is about what a price is for. A 27 EUR ticket can be a bus seat or three wineries with tastings, and a 350 EUR one can be a five-hour lunch at a named bodega or a six-hour drive for up to two people. The figures below come from the listings themselves, read on 30 September 2026.

Luján de Cuyo and Maipú wine tours: seven tickets, thirteen days

Chart of the 20 Luján de Cuyo & Maipú Wine Tours listings by price and length, median 202 EUR
Each mark is one listing, placed by length and price. One private listing with a 48-hour length field is left out. · Wine Tours Editorial, from the prices of the tours listed on this site

The chart makes the shape plain. A row of circles sits along the bottom at 20 to 33 EUR, one more at 78 EUR, then a wide empty band before the diamonds start at 175 EUR. The diamonds are private tours, and they rise to 350 EUR without getting much longer: the 175 EUR day runs eight hours, while a 350 EUR listing at Catena Zapata runs five.

Time does not explain the price. The car, the lunch restaurant and the name on the door do.

The seven cheap listings carry 1,197 reviews at a weighted 4.81. The thirteen dearer ones carry 1,056 at 4.90. Nobody is being short-changed at the bottom; they are buying something smaller.

The seven listings at 78 EUR or less. Prices and review counts read 30 September 2026.

Read across the table and the word to watch is included. The 26.90 EUR Maipú half day lists the tastings, the admission and an air-conditioned vehicle, and allows up to 23 people. The 78 EUR day adds lunch. The 27 EUR bus lists tour and wine tasting, and lunch, as not included. Its ticket buys the seat, not the glass.

Black anti-hail netting covering a vineyard row with dark grapes in Mendoza

What the wine bus passes, and why the rows wear nets

The bus listing names five bodegas on its south Luján de Cuyo circuit: Chandon, Zolo, Budeguer, Terrazas de los Andes and Casarena. You pick three to taste at and one for lunch, departing from 8 am and returning around 6:30 pm. Chandon, it says, was founded in 1959 and is known for sparkling wine. The ticket does not cover entrance fees, tastings or meals, but it gives discounts on them at the bodegas on the route.

Somewhere along that circuit you will see vines under black netting, like the row in the photograph. Hail is a real summer risk in Mendoza, and netting is the answer growers reach for. It is also a reason not to picture a rural idyll: a working vineyard here is managed land, not scenery.

What 175 to 377 EUR buys

The thirteen dearer listings fall into three bands, and the bands are not about length.

The thirteen listings at 175 EUR or more, by band. Prices read 30 September 2026.
Band Listings Price Hours What marks it
Private day with lunch6175 to 215 EUR6 to 8Car and driver and lunch; some name Trapiche or an olive producer
Gourmet lunch3260 to 278 EUR6 to 7Gourmet lunch named in the title; one is a shared guided day, not private
Top of the page4332 to 377 EUR5 to 8.5A named bodega, Catena Zapata, or a vehicle for up to two people

The top band is where the labels need reading. Adora Mendoza sells two private days here, in Maipú at 350 EUR and in Luján de Cuyo at 377 EUR. Both say up to 2 travelers per booking, so the price reads as per car. The Maipú listing does not list lunch. Adora holds 357 reviews across the two, 16% of the page, all at 5.0. A 332 EUR exclusive day with Kahuak runs 8.5 hours with lunch; the same operator's 202 EUR Maipú day with Trapiche runs seven. The 350 EUR Catena Zapata listing, from Mr Winery, is a five-hour visit with lunch and private transport.

Then there is the 48-hour problem. Adora's Luján de Cuyo listing carries a duration field of 2,880 minutes, which is two days. Its own itinerary says the car leaves Mendoza at 9:00 and returns at about 17:00, which is eight hours, not 48. The error is in the provider's data, not a two-day wine tour, and we have left that listing out of the length chart.

Vines trained overhead with bunches of dark grapes above a dusty path in Mendoza

A visit is shorter than you expect

The two single-bodega listings, Tierras Altas at 20 EUR and Renacer at 27 EUR, are listed at 1.5 and 1.2 hours door to door. That is a visit and a tasting. They also hold 761 reviews between them, about a third of the whole page, at a weighted 4.8.

What they show is demand for the cheapest way to say you have been to a bodega. If you want to walk between rows like the ones in the photograph and taste a few wines, this is the unit of it. If you want lunch and a second and third estate, you are looking at one of the thirteen.

Four operators hold 64% of the reviews

Four businesses account for 1,450 of the page's 2,253 reviews, or 64%. Bodega Tierras Altas de familia Vargas Arizu has 469, which is 21%; Adora Mendoza has 357, or 16%; Cepas Turismo has 332, or 15%; and Bodega Renacer has 292, or 13%. The other 11 operators share the remaining 36%. Only one of the four, Adora, sells a private day.

The most reviewed listings are therefore the cheapest ones, and none of the three most reviewed includes lunch. Popularity here measures how low the price is. If you want to know what customers thought of a full private day, the reviews are thinner: the largest of them is 208 for a private transfer plus Maipú winery visits at 202 EUR, rated a perfect 5.0.

On this page the most reviewed listing is a 1.5 hour visit at 20 EUR. It says little about the 350 EUR day next to it.

How to choose among the twenty

Start with the question the price cannot answer: do you want a day or a stop? If you have a morning and a few wines in mind, the Cepas half day at 26.90 EUR or one of the single-bodega visits is enough. If you want lunch, a driver and three estates, the 175 to 215 EUR band is the core of the page, and its six listings sit within 40 EUR of each other, so read the inclusions rather than the headline.

The mistakes are easy to make and worth naming. Dividing a per-booking price by the wrong number of people gives a figure that is out by a factor of two. Assuming that the bus ticket includes a tasting leaves you short at the first gate. And choosing the highest price as a proxy for quality fails when a 350 EUR listing is shorter than a 175 EUR one. A bike tour is not sold here by title; the TripAdvisor thread on biking to wineries near Mendoza says Maipú is the zone where renting a bike works.

If you choose the group half day

The Cepas half day is the listing most people will look at first, with 332 reviews at 4.8 and a price of 26.90 EUR. It meets at 25 de Mayo 1221 in Mendoza city, next to a café, and returns to the same address. Guiding is in English and Spanish, and the vehicle is air-conditioned. Lunch, water and snacks are not included, so plan to eat either before or after the five hours. Its small print says it is not recommended for pregnant or underage travelers. It is an easy first day, and the obvious second-day upgrade is a private car that goes somewhere the group does not.

Questions about Luján de Cuyo and Maipú wine tours

What is the cheapest real wine tour in Luján de Cuyo or Maipú?

The 26.90 EUR half day in Maipú: three wineries and an olive producer, tastings and admission included, in a group of up to 23. The 20 EUR listing is a single-bodega visit of 1.5 hours.

Does the 27 EUR wine bus include tastings?

No. Its Not included list names the tour, wine tasting and lunch. The ticket covers the bus and a Spanish-speaking guide, and gives discounts at the bodegas on the route.

Are private prices per person?

Generally not. Adora Mendoza's two private days say up to 2 travelers per booking, so 350 EUR is the car for two. Check the Good to know section of each listing for the limit.

How many wineries will I visit in a day?

Where the title says, three: the Cepas, Salvando and Vínica days name three wineries and an olive producer. The Catena Zapata listing is one bodega and lunch. For the rest, count the stops in the itinerary.

Luján de Cuyo or Maipú, which should I pick?

Both are close to the city, 18 and 20 km. Maipú has the group tastings and olive producers at the low end. Luján de Cuyo has the named bodegas, such as Catena Zapata, at the top. A private listing may cover either.

Can I drive myself after tasting?

We have not confirmed the current limit for drivers in Mendoza against the law itself, so we print no figure. The private listings on this page exist partly to solve that: someone else drives.

Want the valley instead?

The Uco Valley is about 100 km from the city and nothing there costs less than 40 EUR.

Sister pages cover the Uco Valley and the private Mendoza tours, where every listing carries a car and a driver.

Data verified on. Prices, hours, reviews and inclusions read from the 20 listings on 30 September 2026. Bodega facts from each listing's own description.
