Private Mendoza Wine Tours: 20 Days With a Driver, 126 to 498 EUR
All twenty are private, median 260 EUR for the booking. One operator holds 42% of the 272 reviews, and nine listings have fewer than ten.
One operator, listed under two spellings, Mr Winery and Mr. Winery Travel Concierge, holds 113 of the 272 reviews on this page, which is 42%, and rates 4.44 where everyone else rates 4.72. All 20 Private Mendoza wine tours are private, the median is 260 EUR, and nine of the twenty have fewer than ten reviews each. That makes this the thinnest evidence of the three Mendoza pages, and the page is written for that case: what a per-booking price covers, which lunches are inside it, why the listings without lunch are not the bargain they look, and how the four shapes of private day differ in ratings as well as price. For the zones themselves, the Mendoza page has the map.
The ratings here are more useful as a map than as a ranking. They cluster by the shape of the day, and the shape explains more than the operator does. The table further down gives the four shapes with their review counts, and every figure was read from the listings on 30 September 2026.

Private Mendoza wine tours: how much to trust the numbers
The chart has no cheap end. The lowest price is 126 EUR, the middle half of the page runs from 184 to 314 EUR, and the dearest is 498 EUR. Hours run from 4 to 10, and the dots scatter without a line: a 4-hour day costs 260 EUR at Decero, a 7-hour one costs 126 EUR. Length does not predict the price, because the price is a car, a driver and a lunch reservation.
Twenty listings share 272 reviews, fewer than fourteen each on average. Treat a rating here as a hint.
The most reviewed listing has 38, the top three together have 92, and nine listings have fewer than ten reviews each, 56 between them. Those nine include the priciest day at 498 EUR, which has four reviews, and a 10-hour listing with an optional flight from Buenos Aires, which has three.
Four shapes of private day
| Shape | Listings | Price | Hours | Reviews | Rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Named bodega plus a restaurant lunch | 6 | 170 to 332 EUR | 4 to 6 | 113 | 4.44 |
| Three wineries and lunch | 6 | 126 to 498 EUR | 6 to 8 | 74 | 4.95 |
| Car and driver, no lunch listed | 7 | 126 to 430 EUR | 4 to 8 | 82 | 4.49 |
| Day trip with an optional flight from Buenos Aires | 1 | 314 EUR | 10 | 3 | 5.0 |
The first row is the Mr Winery family: El Enemigo with lunch at Bodega López, Zapata with a lunch at Angelic, Decero with a Susana Balbo lunch, Huarpe with a lunch at Lagarde, an asado with two wineries, and El Enemigo plus two more wineries. All six are short, named-bodega-and-restaurant days, and they carry the most reviews on the page and the lowest marks, 4.2 to 4.7. The second row, three wineries and a lunch, holds the best ratings at 4.95 on 74 reviews, but the sample is smaller. The third row, the car-and-driver listings that mention no lunch, includes the three Civitatis private tours and rates 4.49.
The gap may say less about quality than about expectations: someone who books a named bodega and a Michelin-listed lunch has a higher bar to fall short of than someone who books a day among three wineries.
What the named-bodega days actually sell
The short, named days are built around a cellar and a table. One listing is titled El Enemigo plus two wineries with lunch, another Decero plus lunch at Susana Balbo, another Huarpe Winery and lunch at Lagarde. Each costs 170 to 332 EUR for four to six hours, and most stay under 215 EUR.
The appeal is the depth of one visit rather than the count of three. If that is what you want, this is the shape to choose, and it is worth asking the operator which bodega's table is booked and whether the listing's description matches it.
Lunch-free is not cheap
Thirteen listings include lunch at a median of 259 EUR. The seven that do not have a median of 292 EUR, which is higher. Four of the seven are the plain car-and-driver days: 126 EUR for a 7-hour exclusive vehicle, 143 EUR for seven hours, 206 EUR for a custom four-hour route and 430 EUR for an 8-hour Uco trip. The other three are sold through Civitatis, at 292, 309 and 410 EUR for eight hours each, and they carry 50 reviews between them at 4.2, 4.4 and 4.6.
A listing without lunch leaves the meal for you to arrange and pay for. The 126 EUR headline is the car. The price of a day still depends on what you add, and the operator of the Uco driver listing on the Uco Valley page puts tastings and lunch at about 150 USD per person.
What per booking means on this page
The listings we opened state their limits. A three-winery Luján day with a Michelin Guide lunch at 223 EUR allows up to 4 travelers, and a listing titled small group at 259 EUR allows up to 8 and promises a private English-speaking guide, tastings at three wineries, a gourmet lunch with wine pairing, and a snack. At full capacity those work out at about 56 and 32 EUR per person. A couple in the 259 EUR car pays 130 EUR each.
One caution about the 223 EUR listing: its description names one lunch restaurant and its itinerary names another, both described as recognised by the Michelin Guide. Ask which it is before you book. The tip is not included, and the listing says so.
A working farm, and what the guide will ask of you
The 259 EUR small-group listing is unusually specific about the practicalities. It asks for a cap, sunglasses, sunscreen and additional mineral water, tells you to report any illness, allergy or physical restriction to the guide, and asks you to fill in a risk insurance sheet. It leaves at about 8:50 and returns around 16:30.
The photograph shows why: a vineyard is a working place, with nets and crates. A private day often includes walking between the rows. A listing that mentions mobility and allergies is worth more than one that says only "premium experience".
The extremes have the thinnest evidence
The two cheapest listings both cost 126 EUR. One is a 7-hour exclusive vehicle in Maipú and Luján with 15 reviews at 4.7 and no lunch listed. The other is a 6-hour private tour with a gourmet lunch, rated 4.7, with six reviews. If the second is as described, it is the best value on the page, and six reviews cannot confirm it. At the top, a full-day private excursion at 498 EUR, with lunch, has four reviews. The 10-hour listing offers an optional flight from Buenos Aires; the flight between the two cities takes under two hours, so a day trip is possible, and it has three reviews.
Treat the extremes as questions to put to the operator, not as findings.
Who you book with
| Seller | Listings | Reviews | Share |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mr Winery (two spellings) | 6 | 113 | 42% |
| Civitatis (marketplace, operator not named) | 3 | 50 | 18% |
| Mendoza Wineries Tour | 1 | 38 | 14% |
| Mendoza Wine Transfers | 2 | 17 | 6% |
| Mendoza Exclusive Tours | 1 | 15 | 6% |
| Seven other sellers with one listing each | 7 | 39 | 14% |
The sums are 272 reviews across the page, and the first two rows alone hold 163 of them, which is 60%. Civitatis sells three private tours on this page, at 292, 309 and 410 EUR. Civitatis is the marketplace, not the operator, and its listings name none, so ask who runs the day. The operator with the highest single-listing review count, Mendoza Wineries Tour, has just one listing here and 38 reviews, a perfect 5.0.
How to choose a private Mendoza wine tour
Decide on the shape first. If you want to sit long at one famous table, pick a named-bodega day and read the lunch details. If you want to taste more widely, pick a three-winery day, where the ratings are highest and the reviews are thin. If you plan to eat elsewhere, a car-and-driver listing is a fair choice, but price it as a car.
Then look at three numbers: how many people the booking allows, whether lunch is in the price, and how many reviews sit behind the rating. A 5.0 from three reviews tells you nothing about the day. The mistakes that cost money are dividing a per-booking price by the wrong number of people, taking a lunch-free headline as a saving, and choosing on stars alone.
On this page the dearest listing has four reviews and the most reviewed listing has thirty-eight. Neither is a large enough base to decide on.
Questions about private Mendoza wine tours
How much does a private wine tour in Mendoza cost?
From 126 to 498 EUR for the booking, with a median of 260 EUR. The booking usually allows 2 to 8 travelers, so the price per person ranges from about 32 EUR for eight to 175 EUR or more for two.
Is lunch included in a private tour?
In 13 of the 20 listings, yes, at a median of 259 EUR. The seven without lunch have a median of 292 EUR, because they sell the car and leave the meal to you.
Private or group, what is the difference?
A private listing sells a vehicle for your party. A group listing sells a seat. The group tasting in Maipú at 26.90 EUR is the cheapest way in, and the Luján de Cuyo and Maipú page covers it.
Can I choose the wineries?
Sometimes, within a pool. One listing is titled Choose your own tour at 206 EUR for 4 hours. Others name a winery in the title and the operator fills in the rest, so ask before booking which estates are planned.
Who drives, and can I drink?
The operator's driver drives. We have not confirmed the current limit for drivers in Mendoza against the law itself, so we print no figure; the reason to book a private car is that the person tasting does not drive.
Is a tip expected?
Two of the listings we opened list tips as not included, so budget for one separately if you want to give one.
Want to compare with a group day?
Seven listings in Luján de Cuyo and Maipú cost 78 EUR or less, with tastings included in some.
