Maipú is one of the long-established winemaking areas around Mendoza, and this private tour lets you pick how much of it to see. Four itineraries are on offer, built from Benegas, El Enemigo, Santa Julia, Trapiche and Trivento. All of them include hotel pickup in Mendoza, an English-speaking guide, entrance to the wineries and tastings. The full-day options add lunch, and the menu changes with the season. Benegas and El Enemigo (4 hours). A half-day route through two Maipú wineries. At Benegas you taste four local wines. At El Enemigo, which the Michelin Guide lists as a top stop in Mendoza, you taste three. Departures run Monday to Saturday at 8:45 am and 2:30 pm. Benegas and Santa Julia-Zuccardi (8 hours). After Benegas the route continues through Maipú, with the Andes behind the vineyards, to Santa Julia, linked to the Zuccardi family. You see the cellar, taste five wines and walk among the vines. Lunch is at the Casa del Visitante restaurant: empanadas and grilled meats with local wines. Departure is Monday to Saturday at 9 am. Benegas and Trapiche (8 hours). Benegas opens the day with a visit and a tasting. Trapiche follows, a winery whose 1912 building has become a symbol of Argentine wine. The day ends with a three-course meal built on seasonal ingredients and paired with Mendoza wines. Departure is Monday to Saturday at 9 am. Trivento and El Enemigo (8 hours). Trivento comes first, known for its sustainable practices. After the facility tour you taste four wines, one of them sparkling. The afternoon moves to El Enemigo for more tastings and a three-course lunch paired with some of the winery's wines. Departure is Monday to Saturday at 9 am. Pickup covers hotels in central Mendoza. If you are staying farther out, the meeting point is Paseo Sarmiento, 129.
