This is a private full-day wine tour in Luján de Cuyo, the Malbec heartland of Mendoza. A driver takes you there and back from Mendoza, and the day is built around three wineries and a lunch recognised by the Michelin Guide. At each estate there is a guided visit and a tasting, with the Andes in the background. The tastings cover Malbec and other varietals, and the first stop adds sparkling wine to the list. The lunch is the centrepiece. The restaurant is tied to a winery and holds Michelin recognition, and the meal is served with wines from the house. The format is private, so the pace is yours. It suits travellers who want a few top estates and a proper sit-down meal rather than a long string of quick tastings.

  1. Bodega Chandon

Chandon sits in Agrelo, among vineyards with the Andes behind them. The guided visit covers the winery's French roots, how it makes wine in Argentina and what sets Mendoza's terroir apart. A tasting of selected Chandon wines closes the stop.

  2. Bodega Budeguer

Budeguer is a family-owned winery in Agrelo with open views of the Andes. The guide explains the winemaking approach, the link with the terroir and the care behind the wines. The visit ends with a tasting of selected Budeguer wines.

  3. Bodega Lagarde

Lagarde is one of the region's historic wineries. Lunch is at Fogón, its restaurant recognised by the MICHELIN Guide: four courses drawn from Mendoza flavours and seasonal ingredients, each paired with a selected Lagarde wine. The vineyards of Luján de Cuyo surround the table.
