Full-Day Maipú Wine Tour: Trapiche, Santa Julia and Zuelo Olive Oil Lunch (12/12)

This full-day tasting tour in Maipú runs with a local guide and explains how wine is made in Argentina. It visits two wineries, Trapiche and Santa Julia, in one of Mendoza's best-known wine regions, with several tastings along the way. Lunch is a gourmet three-course meal paired with Santa Julia wines at Bodega Zuccardi. The group also visits the Zuelo olive oil factory to see how the oil is produced. That oil goes into every step of the Pan & Oliva Mediterranean menu. Note: programmes are subject to change, and the final itinerary is confirmed 48 or 24 hours before the service.

  1. Olascoaga 847

Oficina Kahuak, the house with black bars.

  2. Bodega Trapiche

Bodega Trapiche in Maipú stands among vineyards and olive groves in a Renaissance-style building from 1912, counted among the icons of Argentine wine architecture. The visit covers the vineyards, the museum and the winemaking philosophy, and ends with tastings of the wines that define Trapiche.

  3. Bodega Santa Julia

Pan & Oliva is Zuelo's restaurant: tapas, pasta, salads and homemade dishes made with seasonal produce from its own organic garden. The Zuccardi family makes olive oils with the same care as its wines. A three-step menu made for this tour closes the day. The winery itself is not visited here.

  4. Zuelo Olive Oil Mill

Zuelo's oils start with the olives, grown on 260 hectares of the company's own farms, so areas, varieties and harvest moments can be chosen. The Zuccardi family oil mill produces extra virgin olive oil using high-quality sensors.
