Provence Wine Tours from Nice: Bellet, the Var and Rooms
20 tours from 25 to 752 EUR, median 118. The third most reviewed pours eight wines from across France, and a 165 EUR day has a 1 h 30 lunch break.
The third most reviewed listing on the Nice page does not pour Provence wine. It is a two hour tasting in a studio, eight wines chosen from across France, at 77 EUR, and it has 244 reviews. That is how this category works: "wine tours from Nice" covers a bus ride to the vines, a minibus to the Var, a room with a sommelier and a vineyard dinner, all at once. The 20 listings run from 25 to 752 EUR with a median of 118 EUR, and this page sorts them by where the glass is actually poured, how long you travel to get there and what a day costs once lunch is added. For the region's appellations and how the coast links up, read the Provence page. Prices are as listed, read on 30 September 2026.
One operator, Azur Wine Tours, holds 30% of the page's reviews across three listings, and another, VinoLove Club, holds 22% across three more. When two firms account for half the evidence, the ratings tell you about them more than about the region. Read the itinerary and the meeting point before you choose on stars.

Sorting the 20 by where the glass is poured
Four kinds of listing sit under this title. Six are tasting rooms in Nice and Menton, priced 40 to 130 EUR and lasting one to three hours. Seven are vineyard visits in or near Nice, from a 31 EUR walk among the vines to a 165 EUR full day in the Bellet hills and Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Five are day trips to the Var estates, two of them private. Two more do not belong on a Nice page at all, and the last section says which.
| What it is | Listings | Price | Length | Reviews |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tasting rooms in Nice and Menton | 6 | 40 to 130 EUR | 1 to 3 h | 360 |
| Vineyard visits and hill tastings near Nice | 7 | 31 to 165 EUR | 1.5 to 8 h | 676 |
| Day trips to the Var estates, 2 private | 5 | 165 to 752 EUR | 7 to 8 h | 695 |
| A dinner in a vineyard and a 4x4 ride in the Var | 2 | 25 and 279 EUR | 1.5 and 3 h | 92 |
The scatter explains the median at a glance. Seven dots sit at two hours or less and under 125 EUR. A cluster at 3 to 4 hours sits between 75 and 160 EUR, with one 279 EUR vineyard dinner above it. Then comes a gap, and six tours of 7 to 8 hours arrive at 165 to 179 EUR for the four shared ones and at 478 and 752 EUR for the two private ones. The distance you cover is the price, and the price is almost independent of the wine in the glass.
Saint-Paul-de-Vence, and why it hurts the rating
The lane in the photo is Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a hill village 20 km or so from Nice that two listings add to a wine tour. The 94 EUR half day splits its four hours between the village and a tasting, and its 4.3 is the lowest rating on the page, from 71 reviews. The 165 EUR full day pairs the village with Bellet, and has 15 reviews at 4.8. When a wine tour shares its time with a famous village, the wine gets the shorter end.
Bellet in half a day
Bellet is the wine region at Nice's back door, and the half day is the straightforward way to see it: 195 minutes, 115 EUR, a 30 minute drive from the old town, two wineries and about eight wines, rosé, red and white, in a minibus of up to eight. The operator describes hills that look at the Mediterranean and Cap d'Antibes across the water, with altitude and wind keeping the wines fresh. The appellation covers about 50 hectares.
It is the tour most worth doing from Nice and the least reviewed: 10 reviews against 403 for the Var day. Cheaper ways in exist. A 75 EUR vintage Land Rover ride reaches the garden of Château de Crémat for six wines in 3 hours, and a 31 EUR visit walks the vines of a Nice estate and tastes three wines in 90 minutes.
The Var: 165 to 179 EUR and a lunch
Two shared days dominate the Var. The 176 EUR day from Azur Wine Tours has 403 reviews at 4.9, visits three estates in the Les Arcs-sur-Argens area with a tasting masterclass, and pours about 12 to 15 wines across the day. The 165 EUR day leaves from the same hotel door at 9:00, reaches the Côtes de Provence around 10:00, visits two estates in the morning and a third in the afternoon, with 1 h 30 for lunch in a quiet village, and is back in Nice around 17:00.
In both cases lunch is not included. The Azur team budgets from 25 EUR per person, at an estate or in a medieval village. Add that to the ticket and the honest price of a day in the Var is about 190 to 200 EUR. The same operator's Cannes departure costs 179 EUR.
Port Lympia, where the Land Rover leaves
The harbour in the photo is Nice's old port, Port Lympia. The Land Rover tour to Crémat meets in front of the Collège Port Lympia on Boulevard Stalingrad, close to the water, which makes it one of the few listings that starts at the port instead of at the Hôtel Beau Rivage in the old town. Most of the minibus departures use the hotel door, at 24 Rue Saint-François de Paule.
The two meeting points are not the same place, so check which one is on your voucher. A wrong guess costs a taxi.
Rooms with a sommelier
Five rooms and a Menton tasting fill the lower left of the scatter. The 77 EUR tasting "Tour de France in 8 Wines" is run by VinoLove Club in a studio in central Nice, with cheeses and snacks, for up to 13 people, and the wines come from across France by design. Two more are French wine and organic wine tastings in town at 101 and 65 EUR. A one hour terroirs, cheese and wine session costs 40 EUR.
At least two of the six rooms teach French wine in general, by their own titles. If you want Provence in the glass, look for the listings that say so.
The two private days
Two listings are private. The 478 EUR eight hour day from Azur Wine Tours is the private version of its shared day. The 752 EUR day from Riviera Discovery is seven hours and has eight reviews. For a party of six, 478 EUR is about 80 EUR each, which beats the shared day. For two people, the 176 EUR shared day is 352 EUR for both and has the evidence of 403 reviews.
The two that are not near Nice
The 25 EUR 4x4 tour is the cheapest on the page and it is nowhere near the city. Its meeting point is the parking lot of Domaine de la Sanglière at Bormes-les-Mimosas, in the Var, with a view of the island of Porquerolles, far to the west along the coast. It belongs to a different trip. The 279 EUR vineyard dinner says only that the exact meeting place is sent after booking and depends on the date. Neither fits a half day in the Bellet hills, so read the meeting point before paying.
Which listing for which trip
| If you want | Look at | Price | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| The local wine, in a morning | Bellet half day by minibus | 115 EUR | 3 h 15 |
| To try a vineyard cheaply | Nice estate visit, three wines | 31 EUR | 1 h 30 |
| Rosé at scale, all day | Shared day to the Var, 3 estates | 165 to 176 EUR | 8 h |
| A lesson in French wine, indoors | Sommelier tasting in town | 77 EUR | 2 h |
| Two wheels | E-bike in an organic vineyard | 110 EUR | 4 h |
Children, shoes and what to wear
The day trips are for adults. The Azur day and the Bellet half day are both marked not suitable for young children, and the 165 EUR day says children under 10 are not welcome. The Bellet half day asks for smart casual. The Var day advises proper shoes, sun protection and a water bottle, because the walk between cellar and vines is real. The minimum drinking age is 18 on every listing that states one, and pregnant travellers are advised against several of them.
The cheapest tasting rooms are the easiest to do with a mixed group, and the 31 EUR vineyard visit is wheelchair accessible according to its listing.
Getting to Bellet without a tour
The 31 EUR vineyard visit does not include a transfer. Its own directions give a taxi or ride-hailing trip of about 30 minutes from the centre, or bus 62 from the Magnan stop, about 20 minutes, plus a 15 minute walk. It has 153 reviews at 4.9 and is the nearest thing to an independent vineyard visit in this set. The vintage Land Rover and the Bellet half day include their transport.
Questions about wine tours from Nice
Bellet or the Var?
Bellet if you have half a day and want the local wine, about 115 EUR and a 30 minute drive. The Var if you have a day and want the rosé most people mean by Provence, about 165 to 179 EUR plus lunch.
How far are the Var estates?
About an hour each way, judging by the 9:00 departure and 10:00 arrival at the Côtes de Provence on the shared day. You are back in Nice around 17:00.
Is lunch included on the day trips?
No. The Azur day budgets from 25 EUR per person and the 165 EUR day leaves 1 h 30 free in a village. Only the vineyard dinner includes a meal.
Do any of the Nice tours pour Provence rosé in town?
Some do, but read the title: the 77 EUR tasting is explicitly French wine from across the country. The Bellet half day and the Var days pour local rosé, red and white.
Can I cycle?
There is one e-bike tour, 110 EUR for 4 hours through an organic vineyard, with 256 reviews at 5.0, the second most reviewed on the page.
Is it safe to drive back from a day trip?
Take the minibus. The limit for drivers in France is 0.5 g/l of blood alcohol, and every shared day here has a driver-guide.
