This day trip goes to the Côtes de Provence appellation with a wine guide who explains the soil, the climate and the winemaking process. The visits are to family-owned wineries and cellars, including a private visit to a Côtes de Provence Cru Classé winery. The guide also covers the grape varieties (Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and others) and the art of blending. In the glass are some of Provence's finest rosés, along with powerful reds and aromatic, lively whites.
