Rosé is the wine that best sums up Provence, and this tour from Cannes is built around it. The guides are Erwan and Peter of Azur Wine Tours, locals who specialise in Provence wines. The group sees three emblematic, award-winning vineyards from behind the scenes and meets the winemakers. A masterclass on wine tasting and on the wines of Provence goes with the visits. The tasting covers reds, whites and plenty of rosés, about 15 wines in all, plus a few surprises. The group is capped at 8 people. There is plenty of time for photos in the Provence landscape.

What's included

  • Wine tasting at each vineyard - around 15 different wines during the day
  • Air-conditioned vehicle
  • Visits and tasting fees

  1. Pl. Pierre Semard, Cannes

On the rooftop of the train station, reached by elevator or stairs. The guide waits at the drop-off point.

  2. Chateau De Saint-Martin

An estate rated Cru Classé since 1955, with over 2,000 years of winemaking history and an 18th-century château where a Countess still lives. The visit covers the cellars and winery, the terroir and the appellations, plus a tasting of the estate's best wines. The masterclass on tasting and food pairing is held here.

  3. Chateau Font du Broc

A plateau above the Argens valley, with time among the vines and views to the Estérel and the Mediterranean. The cellar is one of the most remarkable in Provence. The tasting is of wines from an organic estate whose owner and team work with respect for the environment.

  4. Third organic vineyard, Vidauban

A third, family-owned organic vineyard where modern and traditional methods meet. Its wide range of wines has won medals. The stop covers finer points of winemaking and a tasting of the estate's best vintages.
