Menton Early Evening Wine Tasting Walk with Lemon Wines, Cheese and Charcuterie, 3 Hours
This early evening walk through Menton covers nine wines in three stops, in groups of no more than 8. It starts at a well-known local fruit producer, where three wines infused with citrus take their cue from Menton's lemons. Next is a curated wine bar for three wines from one Provence producer: a white, a rosé and a red. A short walk follows, and the guide talks through the history of Menton and the region on the way. The last stop is a wine cellar in town. It pours three more wines from other Provence appellations, again a white, a rosé and a red. Every tasting comes with local cheeses and charcuterie. Local guide Patricia covers the basics of tasting technique in a warm, relaxed setting, and the evening ends with Menton's lemon tart. Most tastings are seated, along a scenic pedestrian route of about 1 km. Wine can be bought on site, with international shipping available.
