Uco Valley Altitud Vines Tour: Gualtallary, Chacayes and Altamira Micro-Terroirs
The Uco Valley winery circuit is only about 20 years old. It has filled quickly with new projects run with winemakers from around the world, on terroirs counted among the most impressive anywhere and used only for high-end wines. The valley is 140 km (86 miles) from the city of Mendoza. This tour travels all three of its micro-terroirs: Gualtallary, Chacayes and Altamira, so the day is about how the ground changes from one to the next, with food and scenery along the way. The wineries are picked from this list: Casa de Uco, Piedra Negra, The Vines, Super Uco, Corazón del Sol, Solo Contigo and Claroscuro. Visits depend on availability.
