StellenboschThis is a full-day wine tour from 10am to 5pm through the main wine-producing areas of Stellenbosch, limited to 8 people. The operator calls it a favourite, and the appeal is the freedom of the route: it is different every day and bends to the group's taste in wine. The operator leans toward smaller boutique estates off the beaten track and tries to steer clear of the crowds. Transport, a wine guide, three tasting fees and a food and wine pairing are included. Lunch is paid for separately. The estates in the itinerary are only a suggestion, since the final route depends on pickup points and the day of the week. Pickup is from Stellenbosch only.

Rustenberg Wines
Wine tasting and a walk through the grounds and gardens, with Cape Dutch architecture. Not visited every day, but often.
L'Avenir
A cheese and wine pairing here or at another estate. The barrels or cellar are also viewed if the estate allows it.
Jordan Wine Estate
Light lunch at The Bakery Jordan, with views from the terrace. The last tasting is at Jordan, De Morgenzon or Kleine Zalze, depending on the group and drop-off points.
Costo extra
Small boutique estate
A small boutique estate that also has vineyards in Sutherland, the coldest area in South Africa. Tasting is with the winemaker, by appointment only. If unavailable, the group goes to De Morgenzon.
