StellenboschA walking tour of the Stellenbosch Winelands that links three estates on foot instead of by vehicle. It runs about 3 hours and includes eight wine tastings at Tokara, Thelema and Zorgvliet, plus snacks. The walk starts at Tokara and takes scenic paths down to Thelema for a guided tasting. It then goes back to Tokara for a sensory tasting with a view that runs from Table Mountain to Cape Point. The last stop is Zorgvliet, where two estate wines are paired with food. Stories about the history of Stellenbosch come along for the whole walk.

Meet at the Tokara Deli entrance, not at the main tasting room.
Tokara Wine Estate
The group meets at the Tokara Delicatessen, among sculptures and contemporary art, then walks into the vineyards to a viewpoint where a bottle of bubbly is opened.
Thelema Mountain Vineyards
A gentle downhill walk past tall eucalyptus trees, which are said to give the wines a minty freshness, to the Thelema tasting room. The wines include those poured at Nelson Mandela's inauguration.
Tokara Wine Estate
Back up through Thelema to Tokara's tasting room, with floor-to-ceiling views over the Cape. A curated tasting of the estate's wines.
