A social minibus day from Sydney to Australia's oldest wine region, with three wineries, an optional lunch at 4 Pines and a picnic among the vines to finish. The first winery is Sobels, where the day opens with a look at how the wine is produced, followed by a tasting and an explanation of the valley's Semillon and Shiraz. Two more wineries follow, typically Bimbadgen Estate and De Bortoli Wines, known for Noble One. Venues can change on the day to avoid crowds, and the rotation includes Tamburlaine and Draytons. The optional lunch is at 4 Pines, an award-winning brewery, with hearty meals served with beer, wine or soft drinks. A stop at the Hunter Valley Chocolate Company lets guests browse locally made chocolate. The group is small and the guides are bilingual.
