Small-Group Champagne Day from Reims: Cathedral, Two Select Estates, Hautvillers, Épernay
A small-group day that starts in Reims at 9:30 AM and ends around 5 PM on the Avenue de Champagne in Épernay. An experienced local guide leads it, and the route passes three UNESCO-listed sights: Reims Cathedral, the Avenue de Champagne and Hautvillers, the village of Dom Pérignon. The core of the day is two champagne estates chosen by the head sommelier who designed the tour, who has more than 20 years of experience. The estates change daily, so a visit can be a champagne house or a small boutique producer. Guests taste at least 6 different premium champagnes over the day, and the guide explains the region, its history and how champagne is made. Lunch in Hautvillers is not included, but a table is booked beforehand at a French restaurant. Private versions are available in English, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish and French, with hotel pickup.
