Sant Sadurní Cava and Chocolate Day Trip by Train from Barcelona with 4-Course Lunch
Sant Sadurní d'Anoia sits in the Penedès wine region, about 45 minutes from Barcelona, and it is known in Catalonia for its cava and its chocolate. This day trip covers both, with a long lunch in between. The group arrives in town and walks a short distance to a historic family-run winery that makes organic cava. The cellar visit shows the production steps, and the tasting of three premium cavas takes place in a quiet courtyard. Lunch is at a village restaurant: a seasonal four-course menu with wine. The afternoon goes to a long-established chocolate factory, where the history and flavors of chocolate are explained. The group is back in Barcelona by late afternoon.
