The Uco Valley is one of South America's leading wine destinations, and this private day is built around the wines and the Andes views that earned it that place. Pickup is at your accommodation in Mendoza. The route runs south along Route 40, then west into the valley, a scenic drive of about 1 hour 15 minutes. Three wineries are on the day. Two have guided tours and tastings, paid separately. The third serves a multi-course lunch paired with local wines, also paid separately. The usual itinerary includes Domaine Bousquet, Finca Adelma or Finca Sophenia, then Salentein, with lunch at Andeluna or La Azul. It can change with availability, interests and language needs. The driver handles the road while guests look at the mountains. The return to Mendoza is around 5:30 p.m.

  1. Valle de Uco

The Uco Valley sits about an hour from Mendoza city at 1,300 meters above sea level (4,265 feet), with a terroir and Andes views to match. It has become the reference for Malbec. Three wineries are visited: two for a visit and a tasting of 4 or 5 wines, and a third for a paired lunch. Six wineries are listed, but only three fit into a day. Tastings and lunch are paid separately.

  2. Domaine Bousquet

Domaine Bousquet is organic and biodynamic, known for high-altitude vineyards and sustainable winemaking, with a wide view of the Andes. Finca Adelma is an alternative: a small family winery where wines are tasted with cheeses and empanadas. It pairs well with a larger winery such as Salentein, to see how small and large producers coexist in the valley.

    Costo extra

  3. Bodega Salentein

Salentein is called the Cathedral of the Valley. It combines large-scale architecture, an art gallery, a distinctive cellar and good wines. It is usually included, though the day can be customized with another winery.

    Costo extra

  4. Bodega Andeluna

Bodega Andeluna sits in the Andes, with modern architecture, well-kept vineyards and mountain views. Lunch here is four courses paired with wines.
