This private tour from Tbilisi combines David Gareja and its rainbow mountains with the Kakheti wine region. Pickup is at 9:30 am from the hotel. The first stop is the Churchkhela store in Manavi, for Georgian candies, wine and chacha. In Badiauri, hot shoti bread and cheese are included. Bodbe, the convent of Saint Nino, overlooks the green Alazani Valley, and Sighnaghi, the city of love, is circled by walls with 23 towers. David Gareja follows, a 6th-century lavra carved into the rock. The day ends at an organic wine cellar. There are four packages to choose from when booking, so the inclusions need checking first: a tasting of five wines and chacha with snacks, or a heavy Georgian dinner with barbecue and wine. The car then returns to Tbilisi.
