Private Kakheti Wine Day: Qvevri Master, Kvareli Tunnel, Kindzmarauli and KTW Tastings

This private full-day wine trip in Kakheti is built around how Georgian wine is made, with more than 20 endemic wines to taste. It starts with a Qvevri master, who shows how the clay wine vessel is made. Georgia has used Qvevri for more than 8000 years, and UNESCO recognises the method as Intangible Cultural Heritage. The route then enters a 7 km wine cave and tunnel carved into the Caucasus mountains, goes through all stages of production at Kindzmarauli Corporation, and ends at the KTW wine factory, where wines are tasted straight from stainless steel tanks. There are two versions of the day. The lunch option adds a meal of local traditional dishes. The total drive is 295 km (185 miles).
