This private trip covers eastern Georgia's Kakheti region in food, faith and history. The sunny Alazani Valley, the old Bodbe Monastery above it, the Italian-style streets of Sighnaghi and its long fortress wall fill the route. Georgian dishes are part of it, and so is the wine, because Kakheti without wine is not Kakheti. The day includes masterclasses on churchkhela and shoti bread, a lunch in a home restaurant, and a wine tasting in Telavi with local experts. It closes with a climb to a mountain pasture for views.
