Private Kakheti Day Tour with Organic Qvevri Wine Tasting, Sighnaghi and Lunch

This private day in Kakheti mixes sightseeing with two very different wineries. The sights come first: the Great Wall of Sighnaghi, which runs around the whole town, and the tomb and monastery of Saint Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia in the 4th century. Stories about both come along with the visits. The food starts early. Freshly baked bread from a traditional Georgian bakery is served with local cheese, and Georgian sweets follow. The two wineries are the core of the day. The first is a modern cellar pouring European-style wines. The second is a small family-owned winery where organic wines made in the traditional Georgian Qvevri are served with local dishes, and where the winemaking method is explained in detail.
