Private Grape Stomping at a Chianti Farmhouse: Meet in Castellina, Harvest and Tasting

Harvest was the payoff of a hard farming year. Before mechanization, whole families pressed the grapes barefoot in large wooden vats, a gentle method that was valued because foot-pressing does not stress the grapes. This private tour lets guests try that method on a Tuscan farm. A winery visit with wine tasting is included, and depending on the season guests either pick grapes or press grapes supplied by the company.
