Carus Vini Organic Winery near San Casciano: Private Chianti Classico Tasting with Platter
Carus Vini is a small family winery with organic certification that makes wine only from its own grapes. Sustainability shapes how the estate works. The tasting is private and covers three to five wines, with appetizers, and includes a visit to the barrel cellar and the wine cellar. The lineup features a 100% Sangiovese rosé, a Chianti Classico Vintage and a Gran Selezione. A platter of cold cuts, cheeses and bread comes with the pours. The setting changes with group size and season. Rain moves the tasting into the barrel cellar, and in good weather it happens in the garden. The tasting fee is refunded in full to guests who buy wine above a minimum spend per person.

Cellar and barrel cellar walk
The visit begins with a guided walk through the cellar and barrel cellar, followed by an assisted tasting of selected organic wines from the estate. The mood is informal and family-run, and the conversation between pours covers wine, Tuscany and travel. The tasting moves to the garden in good weather and to the barrel cellar in the rain. The winery has a charging station for electric cars and sockets for electric bicycles.

A guided visit of the winery and barrel cellar leads into an assisted tasting of the estate's best organic wines. The setting is warm and informal, with talk of wine, Tuscany, travel and family between glasses. Location depends on group size and season: the barrel cellar when it rains, the garden in fine weather. Charging points for electric vehicles and e-bikes are on site.
