StellenboschA private wine day for people who want to set their own pace or shape their own route. It suits honeymoon couples, families and groups of friends, and the itinerary is flexible: guests can name the estates they have in mind in advance. Tasting fees are not included, and that is deliberate. Paying at each estate lets guests pick the option that fits their budget and taste there, and the fee is often waived when wine is bought. Lunch is also paid on the day. The suggested stops are L'Avenir, a small boutique estate, Dornier and Waterford.

Small boutique estate, closed on Sundays. Tasting of the Tamboerskloof range, known for its Syrah, plus olive oil and the Die Boeren farm shop. Ducks roam the farm.

Dornier Wine Estate
Dornier or Waterford can serve as the lunch stop. Dornier has cheese and meat platters, with lunch and tasting together or a tasting alone. Guests can also walk into the vines with the guide.

Waterford Estate
A Tuscan-style tasting villa at the end of a lemon tree lane. Standard tasting or chocolate and wine pairing, or lunch at SALT restaurant. Lunch and tasting fees are paid by guests at every stop.
