This private five-hour tour of the Chianti Classico area is built around two boutique wineries and a three-course lunch served with wine. A driver-guide stays with you throughout. At each estate you walk the vineyards and olive groves, see the production areas and taste the wines on the spot, with winemakers and cellar staff on hand to explain how the wines are made and how the valley's wine history developed. Local specialties come with the tastings. The day also includes a stop in a village to browse artisan workshops and see a traditional Tuscan town at walking pace.

  1. Azienda Agricola Ottomani

    Azienda Agricola Ottomani is a family-owned organic winery in the Chianti countryside near Florence. A guided walk covers the vineyards and the winery, with explanations of sustainable farming, organic winemaking and the traditions of the area. The visit continues through the production and aging areas and ends with a guided tasting of the estate's organic Chianti wines.

  2. Greve in Chianti

    Greve in Chianti is one of Tuscany's best-known villages and the historic gateway to the Chianti Classico region, between Florence and Siena. The town center is built around a distinctive triangular piazza, with artisan shops and wine boutiques. Free time here is for strolling, visiting wine stores, tasting Chianti Classico and looking for local food such as pecorino, salumi and extra virgin olive oil. The countryside around the town is in view from the edge of the village.

  3. Fattoria di Luiano

    A family-owned boutique winery in the Chianti Classico area, surrounded by hills, vineyards, olive groves and old country estates. The visit covers local winemaking traditions, grape varieties and how Chianti Classico is produced, with a guided tour of the winery, a tasting of Tuscan wines and a traditional Tuscan lunch with local specialties. Depending on availability, the visit takes place at Fattoria di Luiano or at a similar winery in the Chianti area selected to the same standard.
