Chianti Classico Private Minivan Day from Florence: Montefioralle, Panzano and Farm Lunch
A full-day private tour of Chianti from Florence, eight to nine hours long, in a minivan with up to six seats and a private driver for the whole day. The route runs through historic vineyards, green hills and medieval villages. Estates can be chosen in advance, or the driver suggests where to taste, eat and stop. The day includes visits to historic family-run estates, where traditional wine production is explained and Super Tuscan and Chianti Classico wines are poured. Stops at medieval villages such as Greve, Panzano or Castellina fit in between. Along the way there is locally produced olive oil, cheese, cold cuts and other Tuscan staples to taste.

Greve in Chianti
Greve in Chianti lies in the Chianti Classico wine region and is the home town of the explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano. The old Falorni butcher shop is worth a stop for tasting Tuscan snacks made with local cold cuts and cheeses.
Castello di Montefioralle
Montefioralle began as a medieval castle and has 79 inhabitants, yet it counts among the most beautiful villages in Italy. Take time to walk the narrow stone streets and take photos.
Boutique organic winery tasting
The first tasting is hosted by a small producer of premium wines. Production is entirely manual, from vineyard to cellar, and the Chianti Classico comes from an organic-certified estate.

Panzano in Chianti
A few steps lead to Panzano's medieval tower from the 11th century, inside fortified walls that feel like the Middle Ages. From here, photograph the southern valley, where hundreds of plots are planted with Sangiovese vines.
Farm-to-table lunch and wine tasting
The last stop is a farm-to-table lunch with wine tasting at a farm that uses fully organic, locally produced ingredients, with the wines explained during the meal. The table brings extra virgin olive oil, Chianti Classico, newer Super Tuscan styles, white wines, dishes made with balsamic vinegar and dessert wines. Animals, vineyards and olive trees surround the setting.
