Private Chianti 4x4 Safari from Florence: Off-Road Backroads, Two Villas, Rignana Lunch
A full-day private wine tour of Chianti Classico in an air-conditioned 4WD vehicle, taking the backroads away from the usual routes. A local guide handles the details and stays with you all day. The day includes two historic villas with their gardens and cellars, several food tastings and a traditional Tuscan lunch at a restaurant with wide views, where food and wine are discussed over the table.

Piazza dei Cavalleggeri, Firenze
In front of the Biblioteca Nazionale (National Library) in Piazza dei Cavalleggeri. Look for the guide holding a Walkabout sign.
Villa le Corti
The first stop is a winery owned by an Italian aristocratic family, with a guided tour of the historic cellars and the olive mill, reached through underground tunnels beneath the villa. Afterwards come three wines paired with salumi.
Off-road drive and lunch at Rignana
Next comes the off-road section, through old woodland and rolling hills in the 4x4, past cypress trees, farms and country churches. The destination is Rignana, a typical Tuscan restaurant and winery with wide views, where lunch is served with red wine and a blind olive oil tasting.
Poggio Torselli
The last stop is a villa with 600 years of history, and the guide tells of the events that took place there and the families who lived in it. There is time to walk the grounds and learn more about wine before the final tasting of three wines paired with cheese.
