Private Champagne Day in Épernay: Moët & Chandon Cellars, Hautvillers, Boutique Grower
A private day in Champagne that pairs the most famous House, Moët & Chandon, with a small boutique producer and the countryside around Épernay. The morning goes to the vineyards of the Marne River Valley and the tomb of Dom Pérignon at Hautvillers. Then comes Épernay and Moët & Chandon, the largest of all Champagne Houses. An in-house guide leads the cellar visit, tells the story of the family and ends with 2 glasses of Champagne. Lunch is in Épernay, with restaurant suggestions, and there is time to walk the Avenue de Champagne. The day closes at a boutique producer, where the method of making Champagne is explained over 3 glasses. The guide is certified, a sommelier student, and has 7 years of experience guiding in Champagne.

Moet Et Chandon
Cellar tour and tasting at Moët & Chandon on the Avenue de Champagne in Épernay. An in-house guide leads the way through the historic cellars, a UNESCO site, and the visit ends with a tasting and the boutique. Claude Moët began producing Champagne in 1743, and his grandson Jean-Rémi made the brand known worldwide. Madame de Pompadour, Napoléon and Queen Elizabeth II were among its customers. The House is one of the founders of the luxury group LVMH.
Avenue de Champagne
A drive along the Avenue de Champagne in Épernay, where famous Champagne Houses stand one after another: Moët & Chandon, Perrier-Jouët, Pol Roger, Mercier, De Castellane and more.
Hautvillers
Hautvillers, the cradle of Champagne wines. The village sits high above the Marne Valley, with views over the river, Épernay and the vineyards. After a stop at the viewpoint, the visit goes to the church where Dom Pérignon, steward of the local monastery, lived and died. After his tomb and his legacy, a drive through the village looks for the medieval-style signs on the houses of this UNESCO site.
Cumieres
Cellar tour and tasting at a small Champagne producer. Thousands of small producers work in the villages, and some make good wines at a fair price. The visit covers a selected one: its process, machines and cellar, then 3 glasses of Champagne.
