Private 8:30 Montserrat Tour with Three-Course Lunch and Biodynamic Winery Tasting
A private tour that leaves Barcelona at 8:30 am from the hotel or apartment, with the same private transport bringing the group back at the end. Montserrat is about 50 km (30 miles) from the city. The day includes the Virgin of Montserrat, walks among the peaks and the abbey museum, which holds art from the 13th to the 20th centuries. Lunch is a three-course meal of regional products at a local restaurant. The afternoon goes to a neighboring biodynamic winery, where the private tour covers how wine and cava are made and ends with a tasting of emblematic varietals.

Abadia De Montserrat
Pickup at 8:30 am at the hotel or apartment, then about an hour by private transport to Montserrat. The guide leads a walk through the monastery and explains the mountain's geology and the story of the Black Madonna. The church can be visited, with a mass to attend, and so can the chapels.
Montserrat Museum
Optional museum visit, one of Catalonia's major art collections of sculptures, drawings and paintings, with works by Picasso, Dali, Caravaggio, Monet, Sisley, Renoir, Rusiñol and Pissarro, among others.
Mercat de Montserrat
Views of the landscape, then time at the market to taste and buy Montserrat's cheeses and honey.
Sant Sadurni d'Anoia
A local restaurant for a three-course meal of the area's gastronomy, from one of the world's important appellations of origin, with a complimentary glass of Cava.
Vilafranca del Penedes
A small, family-owned winery. A specialized enologist explains wine production from vineyard to table, followed by a private tasting of local grape varieties such as macabeu, xarel.lo and parellada, among others from other countries. The group is then driven back to the hotel or apartment in Barcelona.
