Barcelona Half-Day Small-Group Trip to Montserrat Monastery with Winery Tapas Lunch
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
BarcelonaThis small-group half day leaves Barcelona for Montserrat, the mountain close to the city. The first stop is the Montserrat Monastery, visited with a local guide. With the winery option selected, the day continues to a boutique historic winery set inside a 10th century castle. At the winery the group walks through the vineyards, goes down to the wine cellar to hear how the wine is made, and tastes three wines alongside a local tapas lunch. There is also a VIP Winery Experience add-on. It gives private access to the winery's barrel cellar, which is normally closed to the public, and an expert-led tasting of three extra premium wines. Some samples are drawn straight from oak barrels and large foudres with a traditional pipette.
