Hunter Valley Day Tour from Sydney: Iron Gate, Sobel's, Gin Distillery and 2-Course Lunch

This full-day trip to the Hunter Valley, Australia's oldest wine region, runs in a premium vehicle with a driver-guide who keeps the day relaxed and on schedule. Three select boutique wineries are on the route, with tastings that include the valley's Shiraz and Semillon. One of them opens its production side for a behind-the-scenes tour before the tasting. Lunch is the Signature Lunch Experience, in a light-filled restaurant above the surrounding hills. Afterwards comes a boutique gin distillery, with tastings of gin made with Australian native botanicals and of handmade limoncello. The final cellar door pairs its wine with locally made cheese and chocolate. On the way back to Sydney the group looks for wild kangaroos living among the vines and bushland, and the driver-guide adds commentary and music.
