Etna North Slope Winery Tasting with Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, Taormina Pick-up

A professional driver collects guests from their accommodation in Taormina, Giardini Naxos and nearby areas and drives an air-conditioned vehicle to a winery on Etna's northern slope. From its terrace, the view runs over the Ionian coast. The tasting centers on two traditional grapes, Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, which the tour calls the King and Queen of Etna. A wine assistant leads a cellar tour first. Included are four glasses of wine from the current vintage, served with vegetable preserves, a selection of Sicilian cheeses, local cold cuts, bread and olive oil. A grilled pork sausage with baked potatoes follows, along with mineral water.
