Etna Chauffeur Tour: Farm Tasting, Sapienza Hot Chocolate and Cellar Lunch with 4 Wines
Europe's highest active volcano is the backdrop for a day that mixes geology with food. A private English-speaking driver runs the day, and the door-to-door transfer is part of the booking. The first tasting happens at a selected local farm: Etna honey, olive oils, wines and other regional products. After that the car climbs to 2,000 meters, where the route reaches the rim of the Silvestri Craters and the viewpoints the volcano is known for. The lunch is at Cantine Gambino or Murgo, both listed among the top five of Etna's 400 wineries. Among the vines, four wines are poured with traditional dishes. Pick-up and drop-off cover Taormina, Catania, Messina and Porto, in vehicles with Wi-Fi.

Taormina
Pick-up by a private English-speaking Sicilian chauffeur, covering Catania, Taormina, Messina and the areas around them. Guests name their starting point: hotel, airport or port.
Oro d'Etna
A local farm for a tasting of organic, zero-kilometer products: artisan honey, extra virgin olive oil, olives from local cultivars and native Sicilian wines.
Craters Silvestri of Mount Etna
The car climbs through Etna's lava fields to the Sapienza Refuge (2,000 m). The stop covers the Silvestri Craters and a lava flow cave, with time to look at the volcano. Walks are short and optional, and suit everyone.
Mount Etna
At Rifugio Sapienza, a warm-up break with the area's hot chocolate. In the vehicle, guests can also snack on Sicilian pastry pastes made from almond and pistachio.
Gambino Winery
The tasting takes place at Cantina Gambino or Murgo, long-established Etna producers ranked in the top 5 of more than 400 wineries there. Both were pioneers in bringing back DOC wines. A guided tasting of 4 labels comes with local specialties, and forms the lunch.
Taormina
The tour ends with a return to the starting point, or to another agreed spot in the Catania, Taormina or Messina areas.
