Venice Piazzale Roma 9 AM Departure: Prosecco Valdobbiadene DOCG at a Family Vineyard

The group meets the guide in Venice and is in the Prosecco Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in less than an hour. The route follows the Prosecco Road through rolling vineyards and small villages, well away from Venice's crowds. The tour skips the largest, most touristy wineries. Instead it goes to a family-run vineyard known for the quality of its production, where the process behind Italy's most famous sparkling wine is explained. The tasting covers different types of Prosecco Valdobbiadene DOCG, paired with local cheese, salami and other snacks. There is time to walk among the vines and look at the hills, and several viewpoint stops are built in for photos. The tour ends back at the Venice meeting point in the early afternoon.
