The guide meets you in Porto. On the drive toward the Douro Valley the talk covers the history, culture and winemaking of one of the world's oldest demarcated wine regions.
Quinta do Portal
The first stop is Quinta do Portal. A visit to the winery and cellars is followed by a guided tasting of 2 Douro wines, with the estate's modern approach to winemaking explained.
Douro River
The route passes one of Portugal's finest river landscapes, with the terraced vineyards that define the valley.
The Douro Valley
The road crosses the UNESCO World Heritage wine region, past historic vineyards.
Quinta da Roeda
At Quinta da Roêda the tasting is 2 Douro wines and 3 premium Portuguese olive oils, with a look at how local wine and olive oil are made.

The drive follows one of Portugal's most scenic roads, known for its views over the Douro Valley.
Solar Dos Dragos By Quinta De Sequeiros
Solar dos Dragos, by Quinta de Sequeiros, is a family winery. The guided tasting is 4 wines and 2 Portuguese olive oils, alongside traditional production methods and local flavors.
Traditional winery lunch
Lunch is traditional, served at the winery with regional wines. A cellar visit and a final tasting of 2 wines follow.
Porto
The group drives back to Porto at the end of the day.
