Small-Group Day Trip from Milan: La Morra, Grinzane Cavour Castle and Barolo Wine Cellars
A guide leads a small group from Milan into the Barolo wine country, a land of rolling hills, vineyards and old villages. The first stop is La Morra, for wide views across the UNESCO-listed vineyards and a good place for photos. After a short visit to the Castle of Cavour, the group reaches Barolo, the village that gave the wine its name. There is free time here to explore and have lunch. In the afternoon, a traditional artisan winery shows how the wine is made and the heritage of the region behind it. A guided tasting of local wines, Barolo among them, closes the visit. The return to Milan ends in the early evening.
