Small-Group Brunello and Montepulciano Wine Day from Cortona in a 9-Seat Minivan
A wine day for travellers based in Cortona or the Siena province, built around Brunello di Montalcino and the red wines of Montepulciano, with stops in hill villages along the way. The practical side: the tour lasts 7 to 8 hours and runs every day in every season. Pick-up and drop-off are at your accommodation in Cortona or the Siena province, leaving at 9:00 or 9:30am and returning around 5:00 or 5:30pm. The transport is a 9-seat Mercedes minivan with air-conditioning, large panoramic windows and comfortable seats. The group is normally small. A private tour is possible if you ask in advance. At the first winery, a boutique estate in Montalcino, you meet the owners and taste their Brunello, Riserva and Supertuscan. The second is one of the oldest and best-known Brunello wineries in the region, reached along the roads of the Val d'Orcia.
