Rustic Vines Day Tour: Saint-Émilion and Médoc Wines, Three Châteaux and Picnic Lunch
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
BordeauxRustic Vines runs this day tour on the idea that a wine outing should cover the region and the people behind the bottles, not only the glass. It puts two of the best-known wine regions, Saint-Émilion and the Médoc, into a single day, with three châteaux that differ in character. The morning starts in the UNESCO-listed medieval village of Saint-Émilion, with time to explore and taste some of its wines. A local Saint-Émilion winery comes next: a guided tour, an explanation of how the wine is made, a selection of wines and a French-style picnic lunch. The afternoon follows the Médoc "Route des Châteaux", past elegant estates and open countryside. The region is known for wines based on Cabernet Sauvignon.
