The group reaches Saint-Émilion by minivan from Bordeaux, then gets its bikes, gear and a safety briefing. The tastings happen inside the châteaux where the wines are made, and the guide explains the grape varieties behind Bordeaux's reputation. Lunch is a seated picnic between the winery visits, with a view of the vines. The medieval village of Saint-Émilion gets a guided visit along its cobbled paths. The day ends with a glass of wine and French appetizers.
