Riccardo, a certified sommelier, hosts this full-day Prosecco tour from Venice for a maximum of 7 guests. It is aimed at travelers who want to understand the wine rather than just sample it, through visits to two boutique, family-run wineries. The route climbs into the Prosecco hills, with stops in vineyards and cellars. Along the way the process is explained from grape harvest to fermentation. Every tasting is guided, and the focus stays on quality, terroir and local tradition instead of quick pours. The tastings cover carefully selected Prosecco styles and come with a light lunch of local cheese and salami (vegetarian options available). Bottles can be bought directly from the producers. With so few people in the group, the pace is slow and there is room for conversation with the hosts. The tour is private, so it is not shared with other guests.
