Prosecco Hills Day Trip from Venice by Train: Two Wineries and Family Osteria Lunch
Giulia and Carlo run this private day in the UNESCO-listed Prosecco Hills, and the day is built around two things: two friendly wineries with tastings, and a long lunch at their own family restaurant. The tour starts at Conegliano train station, with train tickets from Venice included. The two hosts are a local operator with more than 10 years in the travel industry, based in the hills themselves, and they know the Veneto countryside village by village. Between the glasses there is a viewpoint stop for photos, and a four-course lunch cooked from family recipes.

Venice
THE EXPERIENCE STARTS AT CONEGLIANO TRAIN STATION. TRAIN TICKETS ARE INCLUDED. Send full names and one email address, and the tickets to Conegliano will be sent back. From Venice: the train leaves Santa Lucia station at about 9am (50 minute ride). The return train is at about 5pm.

The morning begins at a winery set in hill scenery, with an explanation of how Prosecco is made and 4 wine tastings.
Prosecco Hills - World Heritage Site
A stop at one of the best viewpoints over the Prosecco Hills, for photos. Depending on the day, it is either the ancient site of a castle or a local osteria hidden among the hills.
Pieve di Soligo
Lunch is a traditional four-course meal at the hosts' family-owned osteria, with dishes from their grandmother's recipes and "spiedo" meat cooked slowly over an open fire. Desserts are homemade by the family. If the osteria is closed, lunch moves to a similar high-quality restaurant owned by friends.
Conegliano
The afternoon continues at a second winery, run by friends of the hosts, which makes DOCG Prosecco from ancient vine varieties. 4 wine tastings.
