Langhe-Roero and MonferratoThe Langhe hills have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014, and this private tour covers them on a Vespa, starting from Alba and running between Barolo and Barbaresco. A professional guide rides along and explains what you are passing, so the wine country makes sense as well as looks good. The route takes in the Langhe's main natural resources, its castles and its medieval villages. Along the way: • The road passes through some of the best-known wine villages of the Langhe • Stops are made at spots with wide views • There is a chance to pull up at a wine bar for a glass of Nebbiolo, in moderation Only your group rides with the guide, so the length of the route can be shaped to what you want. Riding experience on scooters or motorcycles is required.

Via Santa Margherita, 2, Alba
Easy to reach from central Alba and a 10-minute walk from the train station, which suits those coming from Turin by train (one train per hour). Free parking is available near the shop.
Neive
A medieval village set among the hills and counted among the most beautiful in Italy. Worth a stop.
Barbaresco
Known as the Queen of Wines. A short walk through the historic center includes the medieval tower, which can be visited.
Alba
The capital of the Langhe. The route loops through the hills around the city several times, and lunch can be taken here or in a nearby village.
La Morra
The Langhe's most spectacular belvedere, with vineyards to the horizon and castles in view.
Barolo
The best-known town of the Langhe. The historic center and its castle are on foot, and a climb leads to the town's finest terrace.
Diano d'Alba
The last stop, with a 360-degree view over the hills.
