Private Offroad Wine Safari from Florence: Brunello, Bagno Vignoni, Pienza and Vino Nobile (6/6)

This private wine safari leaves Florence in a rugged offroad vehicle and follows the dirt roads of the historic Via Francigena through cypress-lined hills, vineyards and medieval towns. The first stop is Montalcino, for a visit to a family-run winery, its cellars and a guided tasting of Brunello. Next is Bagno Vignoni, known for its ancient thermal springs and a central square built around a steaming pool, where lunch uses locally sourced ingredients. In the afternoon the route reaches Pienza, the Renaissance "Ideal City", with free time for artisan shops, Pecorino di Pienza and views over the Val d'Orcia. The last stop is Montepulciano, at a boutique winery that makes Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. It sits off the tourist trail, and locals still buy their bottles there. The tasting is guided and unhurried.
