Private Day from Florence: Brunello in Montalcino and Vino Nobile in Montepulciano
The private car leaves Florence from Piazza Adua and crosses the Tuscan countryside to Montalcino, the town of Brunello di Montalcino. A guided walk through the historic center comes first. Lunch follows at a winery, a traditional Tuscan meal served with a Brunello tasting. Montepulciano is the second town, known for Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The guided visit covers the underground city and a historic cellar, and the tasting there includes a Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Gran Riserva. On the way back the route passes through the UNESCO-listed Val d'Orcia, the countryside that appears in Gladiator, with a panoramic stop. The last stop is Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence. Highlights • Brunello and Vino Nobile in one day • Gran Riserva tasting in Montepulciano • Val d'Orcia views, as seen in Gladiator Inclusions • Round-trip transport from Florence • Two wine tastings • Tuscan lunch with wine pairing • Guided underground city and cellar visit • Four wines tasted, one of them a Gran Riserva
