Private Cézanne and Wine Tour from Aix-en-Provence: Domaine St-Ser and Terre de Mistral
This private tour pairs Paul Cézanne with the wines of Mount Sainte-Victoire. It starts in Aix-en-Provence, the painter's birthplace, with its historic centre, Provençal markets, squares and fountains. From there the route follows Cézanne toward Mount Sainte-Victoire. Its limestone silhouette was the main subject of many of his paintings, and the drive passes the countryside that inspired some of his best-known work. The second half is about wine, in the Sainte-Victoire appellation. The first stop is Domaine St-Ser, a biodynamic vineyard set against the steep slopes of the mountain. The second is Domaine Terre de Mistral, a family-owned estate known for its award-winning wines.
