Organic Wine Tasting and Cellar Tour at a Family Winery in Diano d'Alba
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
Piedmont & LiguriaThis family winery is in Diano d'Alba, close enough to Grinzane Cavour Castle that the castle can be seen from the vineyards. The family has made organic wine for over 25 years. The visit starts among the vine rows. Walking with the hosts, guests hear what organic farming means in practice and how it protects biodiversity and the hill ecosystem. Next comes the cellar, where the wines are made. The work follows the rhythm of nature and aims to keep the grapes' own character intact. The visit ends in the tasting room, where the organic wines are poured and explained one by one. Along the way the hosts also tell the history of the winery.
