San FranciscoThe winery list runs from organic boutique producers to famous mainstream names. Many of the estates belong to some of the oldest winemaking families in the Napa and Sonoma valleys, and guests hear how those families started out in California's best-known wine country. Alongside the tastings come lessons on grape growing and natural farming methods that mix traditional and modern winemaking. Each winery pours a flight of 3 to 5 tastings. On the full-day tour, the lunch break is at downtown Sonoma Square, with free time to explore its restaurants, boutique shops and local art galleries.
