Médoc Wine Tour from Place des Quinconces in Bordeaux with a 5-Wine Tasting Workshop

This half-day wine tour heads out of Bordeaux toward the Médoc, a region that makes some of France's finest wines. It includes a visit to a château and a tasting. The group meets at the agreed time near the Monument aux Girondins, on Place des Quinconces, and leaves from there. The drive to the vineyards takes about 40 minutes, and the guide uses it to explain why the Médoc ranks among France's leading wine regions. The vineyards along the way are part of the view. The next stop is a winery in Saint-Émilion, where a tasting workshop pours five wines and comes with a snack. Participants learn to tell aromas and flavors apart, and try their hand at it themselves. The tour then returns to Bordeaux and ends at the starting point about 4.5 hours after departure.
